This exciting Senior Facilities Manager position is accountable for the portfolio management and delivery of services to a single client.  The portfolio of commercial assets is located in Parramatta and Sydney Fringe.  As the operational lead, you will have a client facing role in addition to the management of one portfolio Facilities Manager

Supporting one of our key clients' assets you will help ensure that Knight Frank provides leading edge Facilities Management services that meet and exceed the expectations of our client through your own portfolio management and leadership skills. 

You will be involved in operation decision making, the provision of key advice and will work in collaboration with the senior leaders in Knight Frank's Facilities Management team. Your commercial portfolio will offer a stimulating combination in the provision of hard and soft services and will guarantee a varied workday with consistent collaboration.

The Role:

  • Provide operational leadership, manage, and direct efforts to maintain a high level of building operation within the portfolio of buildings and maintain the profitability of the portfolio
  • Ensuring optimal operation of buildings to improve the NABERS ratings
  • Being the senior contact for technical and maintenance advice, supporting the property management teams and clients
  • Assist clients with the development and implementation of capital works and tenancy fit-outs as required
  • Building services contract administration and procurement to ensure all technical, risk and statutory requirements are met
  • Implement, audit and maintain risk procedures across all assets
  • Manage Operational budget preparation, forecasting and delivery
  • Maintain and be fully conversant with all Australian Standards, statutory and legal requirements directly related to building management service delivery
  • Provide recommendations to the clients and Property Managers to improve efficiencies on maintenance and operational issues
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, tenants and service partners
  • Ensure timely delivery of compliance, risk and sustainability targets and KPIs
  • Supervise and develop on-site operation and facilities staff, maintaining a team environment and enhancing overall building and service delivery standards

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • At least 5 years work experience and demonstrated success in a Facilities Management role within the property/building industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Supervising and managing staff
  • A high level of financial aptitude, computer literacy, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship development skills
  • Experience in tendering for large contracts such as mechanical and cleaning contracts
  • Knowledge of facilities management operations, industry best practice, building codes and legislative requirements relating to facilities management
  • Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and able to manage and priorities competing demands.

Your success will hinge on your ability to provide excellent client service, prepare and manage reports, maintain contracts, successfully lead a team and achieve set objectives. A successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to think strategically whilst having the capacity to interface with other members of the team.
