We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Property Accountant to join our Asset Management Services team based in Sydney. 

The Property Accountant will have responsibility of supporting the Facilities Management team with day to day financial and administration activities, in addition to assisting Facilities Managers (FMs) to maintain work orders in the Facility Response Centre (FRC) platform, managing expenses, and assisting in the budgeting and reforecast process.

Core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide financial support to the National Operations Manager, including consolidation of operational portfolio and regional reporting of month end, forecasts and budgets
    • Review and maintain scheduled work orders in line with service contracts set up in FRC
    • Work order maintenance, review open and aged work orders
    • Provide assistance to FMs during budgets and reforecasting
    • Provide assistance to FMs for month end financials ensuring critical dates are met
    • Maintain and reconcile FM reimbursement register
    • Ad hoc projects or other duties as required

The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree qualification in Accounting
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in Management and Financial accounting
  • Solid understanding of the property industry
  • Strong client service focus
  • Excellent Excel skills, including Pivot, Vlookup and Hlookup as a minimum
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to analyse and communicate financial information
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Accounting software (MRI) and FM management software (desirable)
