We are looking for an enthusiastic Property Accountant to join our Asset Management Services team based in Melbourne. 

The Property Accountant will have responsibility of ensuring client and management reporting needs are satisfied in a professional and diligent manner and that accounting records are correctly maintained.

Core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assist property managers with preparation of monthly financials including accruals, prepayments, other journals and any off system reports  
  • Run monthly financial reporting pack on a portfolio of accrual and cash properties
  • Oversee daily payment runs (as required and in accordance with policies and procedures)
  • Input budget and forecast data into accounting system (MRI)
  • Annually assist with the completion of outgoings reconciliations and budgets
  • Attend to queries from Property Managers and Owners
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations

The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree qualification in Accounting
  • 1 - 3 years  of experience in Management  Accounting
  • Previous experience within the property industry (Highly Desirable)
  • Management Reporting International (MRI) software experience preferred
  • Ability to develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to build rapport easily
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Proven ability to take initiative, identify issues and deliver timely solutions
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Attention to detail / high level of accuracy
