An exciting opportunity to provide leadership to the IT Development team and Application Support team members. 

This role will manage and control the development process from receiving initial business requirements, project scope creation, prioritisation and managing resourcing to deliver and support continuous functionality improvement across Knight Frank systems and supporting services.

The Role:

  • Engagement with stakeholders to capture business requirements
  • Assigning and managing team deliverables
  • Ensuring development outputs or requirements are delivered as well as expectations are managed
  • All risks are raised in a timely manner through the appropriate technical or business channels, as required
  • Manage specifications and document change and version control requirements to Knight Frank standards
  • Coordinate change with external service providers
  • Ensure appropriate development tools or practices are utilised to track and manage version control.
  • Appropriate structured, methodical testing regimes are followed for all changes
  • Maintain and update all development related documentation or Wiki repositories
  • Ensure code or system security best practices are maintained within all systems under responsibility
  • Configuration of applications or infrastructure to support development outcomes

The Person:

You will have a minimum of eight years' technical experience and four years' demonstrable experience in the management of technical staff.

In addition, you should possess:

  • Visual Development experience (such as ASP.NET(VB.NET) I ASP) JavaScript and HTML knowledge, transact-SOL (MS SOL 2005) Web Services, XML, XSL T, XSD
  • Demonstratable SDLC, Agile or project management
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive initiative with Can Do attitude
  • A structured problem solving approach to work practices or problem management
  • Appropriate people management skills to ensure a positive team culture is maintained
  • A strong customer service focus
  • Attention to detail
  • Identify issues and deliver timely solutions
  • Proven ability to proactively manage and prioritize multiple tasks
