Due to a number of significant successes for our Knight Frank Australian business, we have a vacancy for an Assistant Facilities Manager working on a key account of Knight Frank shopping centre division.

This role will work collaboratively with a team of Facilities Managers and will offer a stimulating combination of hard and soft services.  Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, they will guide and give you the support needed to be successful in this role.

The Role:

  • Provide reporting on maintenance issues, tenant issues/meetings, upcoming works, relevant schedules, arrears control and recommendations
  • Conduct regular inspections on all facets of facilities operation, ensuring properties are kept clean, safe and well maintained
  • Management of building contracts/service providers
  • Ensure security of the building is maintained, following procedures
  • Implementation of maintenance programs
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our client, tenants and tenant representatives
  • Being a point of contact for technical advice
  • Assist with day to day coordination of work scheduling during major projects
  • Other ad-hoc duties

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Desired experience within facilities management or related industry
  • Must have full clean driving licence and a car
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships
  • Desired knowledge of FM operations, industry best practice, building codes of Australian and legislative requirements (including EPA) relating to FM
  • Demonstrable problem solving and time management skills
  • Microsoft Office literacy is a must

Your success will hinge on your ability to provide excellent client service, prepare and manage reports, maintain contracts and achieve set objectives. A successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to think strategically whilst having the capacity to interface with other members of the team.
