An excellent opportunity exists for a Centre Manager or Retail Manager to work with both owner and tenants to maximise their return on investment for a portfolio of neighbourhood shopping centres in Western Australia. You will be representing our brand and be responsible for overseeing the management of the centres, along with providing leadership to the Centre Management team.

The Role

  • Developing and maintaining quality relationships with tenants, operational staff and clients to ensure strong customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Managing the lease expiry profile, preparation of leasing documentation, new lease negotiations and lease renewals
  • Taking responsibility for the performance of property management and building service operations.
  • Conducting regular documented inspections ensuring the highest level of housekeeping together with overseeing the co-ordination of works as required
  • Preparation of financial strategies and budget
  • Preparing and collating all reports such as financial, arrears, maintenance summaries, tenant issues/meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Preparation, monitoring and controlling of property income, expenses, and statutory charges in accordance with approved budgets

The Person

  • A strong background in commercial and centre management with at least 2 years' experience working as a Centre Manager or Retail Manager in a shopping centre environment
  • Ability to build solid professional relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Exceptional communication skills, oral and written
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to be able to add value
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong time and resource management skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • High level of commercial acumen, financial aptitude and analytical skills
  • Understand and have experience in the preparation of property income and expenditure budgets
  • Relevant degree, i.e. Bachelor of Business (Property) preferred
  • Current Real Estate Licence/Certificate of Registration
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • General understanding of Leasing
