We are looking for an experienced and motivated senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our Accounting and Business Services team, based in Melbourne. The purpose of this role is to ensure our clients' expectations and AP needs are being delivered in an efficient and timely manner. 

 

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role, excellent communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise whilst managing the workflow and be able to work well within a team.

Core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Perform primary and secondary processing of creditor invoices
  • Support resolution of email inbox queries
  • Produce, finalise and action payment batches and subsequent payment authorisation reports for distribution
  • Project work and training as required

 The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a high volume Accounts Payable role
  • Data Entry Skills - alpha/numeric (10,000 - 13,000 keystrokes
  • Experience in an administrative role requiring strong coordination skills
  • Strong client service focus
  • Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workflow.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, identify issues and deliver timely solutions
  • Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of all MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of the MRI system is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated understanding of Accounts Payable function
