We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Research and Consulting professional to drive Knight Frank's Consultancy practice, which offers advice to private and public sector clients on their real estate development and investment strategy. This role will work closely with senior Knight Frank executives and the Head of Research & Consulting to produce insightful and impactful advice to clients on property markets nationally. The successful candidate will work as part of a national team to coordinate and drive key outputs such as consultancy reports, forecasts, thought leadership initiatives and presentations.

The role:

  • Win and deliver new consulting mandates to provide strategic advice to clients on development and investment in the office, industrial, retail, residential, student accommodation and other alternative sectors
  • Deliver strategic advice, reports, and other consultancy services as agreed to external clients including developers, private and institutional investors and government bodies
  • Contribute to the Research though leadership agenda with insight into market trends and new ideas on how the markets will evolve in future
  • Translate ideas into new and insightful research outputs for delivery to clients
  • Understand and define client and internal stakeholder needs to assist in strategy development.
  • Mentor junior staff and take responsibility for final outputs
  • Contribute to Research & Consulting team planning and strategy

The Person:

To be successful, you will possess the following experience and qualifications:


  • Tertiary qualifications in Economics/Property/Geography/Valuation
  • 5+ years of research experience in property, economics, finance or consulting services
  • Track record in delivering consulting assignments, such as development feasibility assessments, and published thought leadership initiatives
  • Detailed knowledge of data sources used in real estate consulting, such as Cordell Connect and ABS demographic data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced MS excel skills


  • Strong network of industry contacts
  • Econometric modelling skills
  • GIS mapping capability
