We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Portfolio Accountant to join our Client Financial Services team on a 6 to 9 month contract.  The Portfolio Accountant will have responsibility for the client portfolio and will be required to ensure delivery of services in line with the terms of the client contract and agreed service levels. 


Core responsibilities of this role include: 

  • Delivery of effective and consistent financial management of the client portfolio
  • Working closely with the client portfolio to understand the client's needs and ensure that their contracted services have been delivered
  • Reviewing and analysing financial results of the client portfolio
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and acting as a point of contact for queries
  • Reviewing information systems and processes to ensure they meet the needs of the client and implementing necessary process change where improvement opportunities exist
  • Providing training on accounting systems and processes to clients and property managers
  • Ensuring compliance to all relevant policies, processes, guidelines and standards


The successful candidate will have:

  • Property Accounting experience within a major property group
  • Portfolio management experience
  • Degree qualification in Accounting
  • Experience with various accounting systems including Management Reporting International (MRI).
  • An ability to operate in both a strategic and operational manner.
  • Strong client service focus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to think innovatively
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills including training and presentation skills
