The primary purpose of this position is the development, maintenance and management of existing and bespoke software which services both internal and external clients, as well as providing continuing improvements in quality and performance of these services. 

 

The secondary purpose of this position is to assist in the analysis of new software/functionality and then as part of a team, develop and deliver these services to clients.

 

Your role:

  • Provide technical expertise in the maintenance and enhancement of Knight Frank Australia production systems.
  • Provide analysis and advice about new projects/software or functionality and technology that will improve service delivery while maintaining quality and security of information.
  • Develop/ test and maintain new or modified software services to the business.
  • Resolve user queries and system issues via the open incidents system; prioritise these incidents, design and implement solutions ensuring minimum disruption to the client while maintaining data integrity
  • Seek-out and advise the team of emerging technology trends that could lead to improvements to Knight Frank Australia's software solutions or systems.
  • Utilise best practice programming, testing and delivery techniques.
  • Advise the team about emerging trends in programming that could improve delivery efficiency
  • Ensure coding contributions are delivered to and within Knight Frank Australia development framework and deployment process

 

What we look for:

  • 5+ years maintaining, modifying and delivering enterprise software solutions, particularly focussing on web-facing applications.
  • 3+ years working with relational databases, preferably MS SQL Server
  • Tertiary qualification in computer science/information technology, or relevant industry experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise work activities and manage time wisely
  • Hands on, flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Strong customer service with a collaborative focus and approach
  • Experience/support of a financial application (preferable)
  • Experience with User Interface / User experience development for web applications (preferable)
  • Exposure to MRI (preferable)
