This exciting Senior Facilities Manager position is accountable for the management of a small team of Facilities Managers and the delivery of services for a portfolio of commercial and industrial assets.  As the leader of this team you will also have a client facing role and will report to the Director, Head of Facilities Management VIC.

 

Supporting the wider AMS team you will ensure that Knight Frank provides agile and efficient Facilities Management services that meet and exceed the expectations of our clients through your own portfolio management and leadership skills. 

 

You will be involved in strategic decision making, the provision of technical advice and will work in collaboration with the senior leaders in Knight Frank's Facilities Management team. Your portfolio will offer a challenging role in the provision of hard and soft services maintenance and will guarantee a varied workday with consistent collaboration.

 

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide leadership and manage a team of Facilities Managers and direct efforts to maintain a high level of building operations within the portfolio
  • Ensuring optimal operation of buildings to improve energy and water usage
  • Being the senior contact for technical and maintenance advice, supporting the property management teams and clients
  • Assist clients with the development and implementation of capital works and tenancy fit-outs as required
  • Building services contract administration and procurement to ensure all technical, risk and statutory requirements are met
  • Implement, audit and maintain risk procedures across all assets
  • Assist with Opex budget preparation, forecasting and delivery
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of relevant Australian Standards, statutory and legal requirements directly related to building management service delivery
  • Provide recommendations to the clients and AMS team to improve efficiencies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants and service partners
  • Ensure timely delivery of compliance, risk and sustainability targets and KPIs
  • Supervise and develop on-site operational maintaining a team environment and enhancing overall property and service delivery standards

 

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • At least 5 years work experience and demonstrated success in a base building Facilities Management role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Supervising and managing staff
  • The ability to engage and lead a team
  • A high level of financial aptitude, computer literacy, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship development skills
  • Experience in tendering for large contracts such as mechanical and cleaning contracts
  • Knowledge of facilities management operations, industry best practice, building codes and legislative requirements relating to facilities management
  • Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and able to manage and prisoritise competing demands.

 

Your success will hinge on your ability to provide excellent client service, prepare and manage reports, maintain contracts, successfully lead a team and achieve set objectives. A successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to think strategically whilst having the capacity to interface with other members of the team.
