We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Portfolio Accountant to join our Client Accounting Services team in a contract position though to 31 March 2020.  This team is responsible for ensuring that our client's property accounting requirements are delivered, and their service expectations are met and exceeded.

 

The Portfolio Accountant will have responsibility for ensuring delivery of services in line with the terms of their client contracts and agreed service levels. 

 

Core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Deliver effective and consistent financial management of client portfolios
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure that their contracted services are being delivered
  • Review and analyse financial results of client portfolios
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and act as the first point of contact for any queries
  • Review information systems and processes to ensure they meet the needs of the client portfolio
  • Provide training on our accounting systems and processes to clients and property managers
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant policies, processes, guidelines and standards
  • Identify and implement necessary process change where improvement opportunities exist 

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Property Accounting experience within a major property group
  • Portfolio Management Experience
  • Degree qualification in Accounting 
  • Experience with various accounting systems including Management Reporting International (MRI)
  • Strong client service focus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to think innovatively
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills including training and presentation skills
