A key leadership role has become available for a Partner, Head of Sustainability within our Asset Management Services (AMS) team.

 

With the opportunity to be based in either Sydney or Melbourne, you will be responsible for the development, delivery and coordination of sustainability consultancy services nationally.  You will work to develop and grow the service capability of the Sustainability team.  You will work to identify new business opportunities that enhance Knight Frank's client portfolio and contributes to improving the efficiency and sustainability of our existing clients' property portfolios.  This role is a senior leadership/strategy role but also requires you to be keen to contribute to the hands-on delivery of consultancy services.

 

Key tasks:

  • Prepare the service unit strategy and annual business plan
  • Identify opportunities both locally and nationally across the Knight Frank AMS Portfolio 
  • Allocate and manage resources to provide services and build team capability 
  • Develop cost-effective solutions to reduce and optimise the consumption of energy, waste and water at managed sites or per project
  • Analyse specific property and portfolio performance and instruct corrective action
  • Work with internal teams and across our client base to provide market leading sustainability advice.

 

Ideal candidate:

  • A tertiary qualification in environmental management, engineering or real estate
  • At least 10 years' plus work experience and demonstrated success in similar role or within a dedicated sustainability team
  • Solid experience in writing comprehensive and cohesive reports/client recommendations
  • Experience with Green Building, GRESB, WELL and NABERS certification
  • Ability to assess the capability of building services and forecast maintenance, upgrade and budget requirements 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A high level of computer literacy, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyse and resolve complex issues
  • Advanced Word & Excel skills
  • Ability to travel as required
