We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced research professional or property economist to join Knight Frank in a broad-ranging research role spanning economic and demographic analysis, property market research and thought leadership initiatives on the office, industrial and alternative sectors. The successful candidate will also play a part in sourcing and delivering research consultancy projects for particular clients, by offering advice on real estate development and investment strategy. The role will work as part of a national team producing insightful and impactful advice to clients and building Knight Frank's profile as the adviser of choice.


The role:

  • Produce new research to guide development and investment decisions in the office, industrial, retail, residential, student accommodation and other alternative sectors
  • Deliver strategic advice, reports, and other consultancy services to external clients including developers, private and institutional investors and government bodies
  • Present to clients and industry bodies
  • Contribute to the Research though leadership agenda with insight into market trends and new ideas on how the markets will evolve in future
  • Support the wider business and build Knight Frank's profile and reputation as the adviser of choice
  • Mentor junior staff and take responsibility for final outputs
  • Contribute to Research & Consulting team planning and strategy


The Person:

To be successful, you will possess the following experience and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Economics/Property/Geography/Valuation
  • 5+ years of research experience in property, economics, finance or consulting services
  • Strong understanding of property, economics and investment
  • Knowledge & capacity to provide credible market opinions and forecastsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced MS excel skills 


  • Strong network of industry contacts
  • Econometric modelling skills
  • GIS mapping capability 
  • Track record in delivering consulting assignments, such as development feasibility assessments, and published thought leadership initiatives
  • Knowledge of data sources used in real estate research
